What I'm reading on Monday: Dec. 14

I haven't posted here in awhile, because I haven't made much progress in my reading. I've been tied up with things that require me to get up and move -- mainly taking the kids to stuff or seeing them perform -- finishing a class or playing Spider Solitaire on my laptop. Beginning Sunday, however, I got back on track. One of the books I'm reading is due back at Interlibrary Loan on Thursday, so I better finish it. Also, I have 13 books sitting on my Shelfari "Reading Now" list, which is a tad embarrassing and tremendously unfocused. So basically, I've been reading Ken Auletta's "Googled," which picked up considerably after the narrative about the founding of Google (since Auletta's beat is old media, that's where he's best), and I have to finish "Once the Shore" by Paul Yoon before it goes back. Then I'm off to complete a Winter Challenge and polish off some Amazon.com review books, particularly "Generation A" by Doug Coupland, which I've started. I haven't listened to Water for Elephants on my car stereo, either, because one of the discs is messed up, and I haven't gotten around to fixing it. But I feel a surge of momentum coming on, as well as fewer gigs for my kids, so I should get back on track.

I noticed! Tis the season for being unfocused. Of course for me, it's 24/7 with no holidays. Blogging has helped, ;) Thrilled to have you back.

December has been a slow reading month for me as well.
