What I'm Reading Monday -- Jan. 18

Another Monday, another What I'm Reading Challenge.

Finished:

How I Paid for College: A Novel of Sex, Theft & Musical Theater (See review here). This was an audiobook I downloaded to my MP3 player -- how cool is that?

Reading now:

The Emperor's Children: This is the second novel I downloaded to my MP3 player. It's fun to listen to a story as you're moving through a crowd on a college campus. So this is how fiction works? The novel sounds a lot like Edith Wharton, although I'm no expert (the only title of Wharton's I've read is The House of Mirth, which depressed the heck out of me, because what man can't have a crush on Lily Bart?)

True Confections: This is a clever title I took out of the library because I had read a couple of good reviews. As with An Arsonist's Guide to Writers' Homes in New England, it deals with arsoin in ... New England! (Also an unreliable first-person narrator.) I think this is going to satisfy the Winter challenge -- book not in a series.

Metadata: This is the textbook for the class I'm taking. Can it Dublin Core a apple? Yes! It can Dublin Core a apple!

Hespira: The is the latest, long-awaited title in Matthew Hughes' Henghis Hapthorn fantasy-SF series. Short and tremendously entertaining. This will satisfy the six-title fantasy challenge I'm doing.

An Evil Guest: I just can't get too into this one; I need to force myself to sit down and finish it.
